The holiday season is made special by its little delights – a glowing string of lights, a crackling fire, and a perfectly wrapped gift. In that same spirit, our Christmas update brings together many thoughtful improvements that may seem small individually but collectively add to a more delightful user experience.

Retainer improvements
We’ve updated the quote-to-cash flow for retainers. If you’re running retainer projects and using quotes to agree on the work for the periods, you can now easily create tasks from a quote for all upcoming billing periods simultaneously.
To do this:
- Click the Create tasks from quote button in the project’s task list or your quote
- Set up your task duration, assignees, and other task details as needed
- Keep the Create tasks for upcoming periods toggle on
- Click Create tasks.
The created task start and end dates will match the start and end dates of the respective billing periods. The task title will also contain the billing period name for better clarity.
You can disable this toggle if you want to create the tasks only for the billing period you were viewing.
Additionally, we visually revamped the retainer billing period navigation so it’s easier to see which one you’re currently viewing.
As a result of this navigation revamp, the View periods button moved a bit up.
We recommend using quotes to manage your retainer agreements, as you can quickly create a retainer project straight from your quote once it’s confirmed.

Project list summary bar improvements
The summary bar in the project list is now more powerful and insightful than ever. The metrics in the bar are now updated instantly whenever filters are changed and projects are modified, giving you an always-accurate, real-time view without needing to refresh.
We also redesigned the bar for clarity, combining absolute numbers and percentages for the same metric. This gives space for displaying more metrics while remaining easy to read.
New look for the progress bars
We’ve updated the progress bar style globally across Scoro to simplify and make it more intuitive. The solid colors indicate work already done, while a striped pattern means the work is scheduled for the future.
Role prices and promotions
Previously, when a team member moved to a new role, Scoro automatically applied the new role price to all their activities across the system – meaning that the new role price was also applied to older time entries when calculating revenue.
Now, we’ve improved this logic. Whenever someone gets promoted to a new role, all the new time entries they create from that date forward will use the new role price, but the past time entries will remain unaffected. This helps to keep your historical revenue data more accurate for retrospective insights.

Viewing and modifying quotes from the quote list view
You can now click the pencil icon next to the quote name in the quote list view to modify the quote. To view the quote, click on the quote name.
New Help Center section
Our Help Center now has a new section, Team, where you’ll find everything you need to know about managing your team’s bookings, utilization levels, and performance.

- Triggers & actions for time off. Set up a custom notification for when a team member submits a new time-off request in Scoro.
