March 2025 Version Update: Work Management Improvements

This month, we’re focusing on work management improvements. We’ve improved the visibility of time off in the Planner, added week date tooltips in the Booking tool, and more. These changes may be subtle, but they’ll help you work smarter every day!

Check out what’s new in Scoro!

Better time-off visibility in the Planner

The hours each user has taken off work now have a striped yellow background in the Planner, making them easier to recognize.

You can also view the details of the user’s time-off entries by clicking the time-off icon under their name.

Recurring event end date limit

Previously, you could set any future date as the end date for a recurring event, which increased risks of duplicate data and ownership issues when the event creator leaves the organization. To prevent such issues, recurring event end dates can now be no further than 10 years after their start date. All later dates will be greyed out in the date selector.

Pro tip! Use shorter recurring sequences (up to 1-2 years) so you can review your recurring events more frequently and adjust them or create new ones as needed.

Activity type filter improvements in the utilization report

We’ve updated how the Activity type filter works in the utilization report when calculating utilization by time entries.

Previously, the Activity type filter included time entries based on the task’s activity type. For example, if the task had a Consultation activity type, but some time entries for that task had a Design activity type, filtering by the Design activity type would not include those time entries, which makes the data inconsistent.

Now, the activity type filter shows time entries based on their activity type instead of the corresponding task’s activity type.

E-invoicing via PEPPOL with Finbite integration

If you use the Finbite integration and handle cross-border transactions within the Baltics, you can now use the e-invoicing via PEPPOL solution for the Finbite integration to send invoices to clients with a PEPPOL ID.

PEPPOL, short for Pan-European Public Procurement On-Line, is a standardized framework that allows businesses to send and receive e-invoices and other electronic documents securely and seamlessly across borders. With more countries and businesses adopting PEPPOL as the standard, using it can help your business stay ahead of evolving regulations and remain competitive in international markets.

E-invoicing via PEPPOL also reduces manual admin work and the potential errors that can happen with manual invoice entry and helps you receive payments faster.

Along with this update, the Finbite integration is now available as two add-on options:

  • Finbite Basic (29,90 EUR/month) – this is the standard Finbite integration without the e-invoicing via PEPPOL.
  • Finbite Plus (49,90 EUR/month) – includes everything in Finbite Basic, plus e-invoicing via PEPPOL.

If you’ve already set up the standard Finbite integration (now called Finbite Basic), you can upgrade to Finbite Plus to enable e-invoicing via PEPPOL. To do so:

  1. Go to Settings > Administration > Plan, add-ons and billing
  2. Click Manage add-ons
  3. Switch on the Finbite Plus integration toggle and switch off the Finbite Basic integration toggle
  4. Click Confirm, then click Save changes.

Note! Once you’ve enabled Finbite Plus, disable the Finbite Basic add-on to avoid double lines on your invoices.

Once your Finbite Plus integration is enabled, switch on the E-invoicing via PEPPOL toggle in the Finbite integration settings.

Invoices can be sent via PEPPOL to clients who have registered on the PEPPOL network and have obtained a PEPPOL ID. Ask your client to share their PEPPOL ID and, once provided, add it to the Finbite Peppol ID field on their contact details in Scoro.

When you’re ready to send your invoice to your client, click the Send to PEPPOL button. Upon the next sync cycle, the invoice will be synced to Finbite upon the next sync cycle, from where it will be sent to the client via the PEPPOL network.

If you aren’t using Finbite yet, please note that the Finbite Basic and Finbite Plus integrations require an active Finbite subscription.

We’re also working on a broader e-invoicing solution for cross-border transactions within the EU, so stay tuned!

Other…

Bookings improvements

Now, if you hover over the week number in the Bookings module or the Bookings tab in the single project view, you can see the exact dates the week covers.

Enabling the tab-based project detailed view for all sites

In November 2023, we introduced the new project detailed view, replacing the data-heavy single-page view with a more focused, tab-based design. Since then, we’ve made continuous improvements, making it significantly more powerful, responsive, and feature-rich than the old project view. To continue improving the tabbed project detailed view, we’ve enabled it for all sites by default.

We’re working on…

  • Internal projects and standardized billable time. Use the new internal project type to separate non-billable work from billable projects and improve data consistency and reporting accuracy.
  • AI-powered insights for dashboards and reports. Use the AI-powered assistant to customize your dashboard and report views and get valuable insights for your business.

❗Don’t worry if your Scoro site hasn’t been updated yet – the update is rolling out gradually over the next few weeks.

We do our very best to make Scoro better every day, so we appreciate your feedback! Share your thoughts with us via our contact form.
