Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data/AI team at Scoro in Tallinn. You’ll be one of the first three members in this exciting journey, joining a brand new team created just a few months ago from the ground up and helping it grow.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the team and advancing Scoro’s data infrastructure and analytics. You’ll help elevate our data insights and drive data-driven decision-making. You’ll be part of the decision-making group responsible for building our data capabilities and systems and choosing the right technologies.

To succeed in this role, you must have solid experience in a similar position, with a background in databases, data architecture, engineering, and visualization.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing, constructing, and managing data pipelines and systems for tasks like data ingestion, transformation, storage, retrieval, and visualization;
  • Creating and expanding our data infrastructure, ensuring it meets our growing needs;
  • Assessing and integrating new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve our data infrastructure and capabilities;
  • Documenting architecture, processes, and workflows to encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork within the team;
  • Staying informed about emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in data engineering and analytics.

You might be our newest Scorer if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role;
  • Analytical thinking skills and a strong grasp of statistics, data extraction, modeling, and visualization;
  • Proficiency in SQL;
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python;
  • Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.;
  • Familiarity with data warehouse solutions such as BigQuery (a plus), Snowflake, Redshift, etc.;
  • Experience with data transformation and ETL/ELT pipelines;
  • Experience with dbt (a plus) or similar tools.

  • Knowledge in machine learning and experience with tools like Databricks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar;
