Tried and tested by service firms

We realized how much time was wasted on manual work for data visualization. We spent 5-6 hours generating reports for weekly meetings, but now it's done in minutes with Scoro.

Monica Fernandez, COO Mallol Arquitectos

Now everything is just one click away in Scoro. There may be hundreds of hours on the task list, but we know that we’ve got time booked for all of them, and we don’t have to worry about it constantly. How our time is used is very clear and visible.

Anna-Kaisa Reed, Art Director Aava & Bang

Scoro gives us real-time insights into resource utilization and capacity across our entire practice. We now make proactive, data-driven decisions.

Lachlan Salt, Director, Finance, Risk & Governance We Are Best

To be able to see how people put in their hours, complete their tasks, record what they’re doing – it has really helped us understand how we use our resources and their availability.

Matt Stevenson Dodd, Managing Director Trust Impact

Scoro has enabled us to take our companies time-tracking on the next level – we’ve improved our time management 100% and as a result eliminate unplanned overtime.

Tycho Derks, Project Manager Bombs Away

Scoro gives us a clear view of how we use our time. When we started, there were significant gaps in how much time we put in and how much we billed the clients. Now, we are more profitable then ever.

Triinu Toomela, Owner Soulteam

Price every phase by the people who'll deliver it

Split each phase across the roles who’ll deliver it, with their hours and rates, and see the price, cost and margin before you send. The client gets a clean fee proposal, and when they sign, those hours become your team’s tasks and bookings.

Learn how quoting works

Staff every project with the right people

See who’s free and who’s overbooked across your firm with real-time utilization heatmaps, and keep time off synced from BambooHR.When you win a project, Scoro books in the hours from your quote, so staffing starts as soon as the work is confirmed.

Learn more about resource planning

See every phase, milestone and deadline at a glance

Set up projects by phase, from Schematic Design to Construction Administration, or by RIBA stage, from Concept Design to Handover. Each phase, milestone and task sits on one Gantt chart, alongside your team’s logged time and meetings. When a deadline moves, linked tasks reschedule automatically.

Discover all-in-one project management

Forecast your margin while the project is still live

See budget burn and cost burn side by side as your team logs time. The forecast shows where each project will land and how much profit it’s on track to make, so you can act before it goes over budget.

Learn more about project tracking

Keep consultant costs in check with purchase orders

Issue purchase orders to structural engineers, surveyors and other consultants straight from the project. Each PO counts against the budget as soon as it’s issued, so you see committed costs before their invoices arrive.

Learn how to log expenses

Know what’s been invoiced and what's outstanding

Invoice each stage as it completes and bill hourly work from timesheets, with every invoice synced to your accounting software. Expensify brings in expenses, and a change request log gets client sign-off on extra work, so nothing billable slips through.

Learn more about invoicing

Get financial clarity, from project profit to firm revenue

Ready-made reports cover profitability by client and project, and WIP. The revenue report shows recognized and forecasted revenue month by month, so you can see what’s earned and what’s still to come.

What makes Scoro special?

Why architecture practices make the switch

Project accounting that syncs with your books, runs across every office, and works with the AI your team already uses.

Built for practices across offices and countries

Run each office or entity with its own default currency, share projects between them, and see them all in one summarized financial report. Set up projects by RIBA stage or US phase, and use Scoro in seven languages.

Project accounting that syncs with your books

Scoro handles the project side: fees, time, WIP and margins. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct or Exact Online keeps your books, and Expensify brings in expenses. Invoices, bills and payments sync between them, so your numbers always match.

Made for how work is changing

Connect Scoro to ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot Studio through its MCP server. ELI works on your live data, drafting fee proposals, chasing unlogged time and flagging budget overruns before they cost you.

FAQs

Architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design and planning practices. Scoro suits any practice billing client work by fee, stage or hourly rate, from concept through to construction stages.

Yes. Most small practices start using Scoro at five to 10 people, when spreadsheets stop giving a clear answer on whether a project is making money.

You don’t need the whole platform. A small practice might start with time tracking and invoicing, then add fee proposals and project management later. It’s the same system, so everything’s already connected.

The minimum is five users, and practices of up to 15 people can set Scoro up themselves using our guides and video tutorials.

Yes. As practices grow past 20 or 30 people, most move from time tracking and billing to the full quote-to-cash flow, because the gap between the agreed fee and what the work actually cost stops being something anyone can hold in their head.

From 26 people, our onboarding team maps your workflows, configures the site and runs the data migration with you. See onboarding options.

Yes. Scoro is used by businesses of 50, 100, 200, and 300+ people, and by practices with offices in several countries.

At that size, Scoro covers what enterprise IT and finance teams ask for:

  • ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant
  • Single sign-on, user provisioning and two-step verification, on the Enterprise platform
  • Permission sets you can set as tightly as you need
  • Separate entities, each with their own books, reported together at group level
  • An open API and an MCP server to connect Scoro to the rest of your stack

Yes. Projects are structured in phases with their own budgets and milestones, so a fee can be apportioned across stages and invoiced as each one completes. Time is tracked against hourly work or fixed-fee phases, and quoted-versus-actual shows you where a stage is eating more hours than the fee covers.

Yes. The WIP report shows unbilled time and uninvoiced costs against each live project, so you can see what you could bill today rather than working it out at month end. It also carries open purchase orders, so committed sub-consultant costs show up before their invoices arrive.

Revenue can be recognized on percentage of completion or on income to date, whichever matches how your fees are agreed.

Sub-consultant fees, site visits, travel and disbursements all sit against the project. Issue a purchase order to a structural engineer or planner and the committed cost hits the budget before their invoice arrives, so it shows up in your WIP as money already spent. Connect Expensify and travel and ad hoc costs sync straight through to the project too.

Those platforms are sold whole. You take the entire suite, configure all of it, and pay for the parts you don’t use.

Scoro is built as eight core apps. Start with the ones that match how your practice works now, add the rest when you need them, and drop any you don’t. A five-person studio and a 200-person practice run the same system on different setups, and nothing gets re-implemented as you grow.

Firms of every size have replaced bloated tech stacks with Scoro. See how they did it.

Yes. The Sell app covers contacts, deal tracking, pipeline management, quotes and sales reports — so a bid you’re chasing, the fee proposal you send, and the project that follows all sit in the same system. When you win the work, the proposal becomes the project rather than being re-entered.

It’s a lightweight CRM. It doesn’t do email tracking or marketing automation, so if you rely on those, Scoro connects to HubSpot and Salesforce instead.

Scoro starts at $17 per user per month, with a minimum of five users. You choose from eight core apps and pay only for the ones you use.

Most practices start with the Quote to Cash combination (Estimate, Deliver, Track and Invoice), which covers fee proposals, delivery, time tracking and billing in one connected flow. See full pricing for more details.

Most businesses start with one of three combinations:

  • Time-billing — turn logged hours into invoices and never lose a billable minute
  • Projects & Resources — plan projects, assign resources, and see what time means in revenue
  • Quote to Cash — estimate, deliver, track and bill in one connected flow

Whichever you start with, the data connects across all of it — add resource planning a year in and it works off the time you’ve already been tracking. Build your combination.

Yes. Scoro has two-way integrations with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and Exact Online. Invoices, bills and payments sync between the two systems, so invoices raised in Scoro reach your accounting platform without re-entering data, and payment status flows back to Scoro.

No. Scoro runs the commercial side of the practice—fees, phases, resourcing, time and billing—not the design work.

Your team keeps working in Revit, AutoCAD or ArchiCAD, and Scoro tracks time and cost against each phase. There’s an open API if you want to connect them.

Yes. ELI is built into Scoro and works on your live data, so it can answer questions about your projects and finances and take action on them. It can chase the team for unlogged time before you invoice, draft a fee proposal from a client email, or review a project’s health and flag budget overruns before they cost you.

A set amount of free AI credits is included in the platform for everyone. Learn more about Scoro AI.

Yes. Practices running separate offices or trading entities can keep each one’s books distinct, invoice between them, and still report on the group as a whole. Multiple currencies are supported, so an office billing in euros and one billing in dollars roll up into the same view.

Yes. Scoro Time is a free time-tracking app for iOS and Android, on every plan. People visiting client sites and offices can run the timer or log hours after the fact, and it works offline. Entries sync to their timesheet once they’re back on a connection. A utilization indicator shows whether there’s capacity left in the day.

No. The customer portal add-on gives clients access to their own projects, where they can see progress and leave comments. You don’t pay for seats for them. See what’s available.

Beyond the core apps there are extras and integrations for specific needs. The ones practices tend to reach for:

  • Change request log — track scope changes so they get billed instead of absorbed
  • Customer portal — give clients access to their own projects
  • Additional entities — run separate offices or trading companies
  • Client purchase orders — manage client POs against the work

Calendars (Google, Outlook, Apple), Google Drive, Dropbox and Zapier are included as standard. Stripe lets clients pay an invoice from a link. See what’s available.

For most customers, a few days to a few weeks, depending on team size and how complex your setup is. That includes importing your existing data (contacts, projects, invoices) and getting to know the system.

Practices of up to 15 people set Scoro up themselves using our guides, video tutorials and product tours, with ELI on hand inside the product to answer questions.

Up to 25, our experts are available for Q&A sessions and email consultations. From 26 people, our onboarding experts map your workflows, configure the site, migrate your data and train your team. See onboarding options.

Scoro’s interface is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.

Yes, on every plan. The Scoro MCP server connects your site to AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot Studio, so you can pull data and take action in Scoro without leaving your AI chat.

It also works across tools. Connect Scoro alongside Slack, Gmail or Jira and you can ask one question that draws on all of them. Learn more about the MCP server

Yes. Scoro has an open API available on every plan, so you can connect it to systems that don’t have an off-the-shelf integration. A BI tool like Power BI, a data warehouse, or a bespoke internal system. See the API documentation
